Head In The Clouds

Since I was a child, everyone around me kept on pointing out that I had my head in the clouds. For as long as I believed my daydreaming was my curse, came a point where I started to realize it was a blessing.

Since I was a child, everyone around me kept on pointing out that I had my head in the clouds. For as long as I believed my daydreaming was my curse, came a point where I started to realize it was a blessing.
As I was a bit introverted, I spent most of my time –and still do actually- flying solo, to find my own little cloud to float on and observe life from a different perspective. The sky, with its clouds, sun, moon and stars has a delicate mystery, a deep secret that made me glance up quite often. The immaculate beauty of sky has never failed to fascinate me, for it is untiringly freshly unique every morning.
Every single day, I would sit still and marvel with glittering eyes at the blue vastness, watch the soft spirals roll inside out just like waves at the edge of each cloud, the mysterious lunar craters on the bright side of the moon, airplanes passing by like shooting stars in slow motion as they shine when sun rays reflect on them for a brief second.
And on the day I finally got that window seat on the airplane, I saw an altogether new world above earth, yet unknown to my eyes but known to my mind, made of clouds and blue. I was so close to all those shapes and movements I have long gazed at from the world underneath. That spectacular sight was shivering and soothing at the same time in a way that aroused my senses to see things from an all different dimension, a higher one. You really see from above how tiny humans make one with the huge forests and wide rivers to form a whole splendid entity.
While with such glory I was submerged, sun was slowly drowning in the sea of golden clouds setting the horizon of sky on fire, burning my eyes with fascination.
Soon the darkness would invade the scenery only to leave space for another landscape even more intriguing, for night have its own secrets. But it is time to sleep now.
